Micah Bucey (Actor) won a 2004 FringeNYC Overall Excellence Award for his performance in THE ONLY THING STRAIGHT IS MY JACKET, which was developed by Y theatre? of which he is a founding member. Other Y theatre? Fringe Festival credits include THE HOUSE OF MERRY and THE RAPE OF THE LOCK. Micah currently performs in his demonic musical duo GIGGLES & GRIM with Drew Edwards.
ERIC PLINER (Director) is a writer and director whose work has been represented during several seasons of the New York International Fringe Festival. He wrote and directed the award-winning 1999 FringeNYC smash JINKIES! (Excellence in Performance, Ensemble Cast), which later enjoyed an extended run as downtown cult hit SPOOKY DOG & THE TEEN-AGE GANG MYSTERIES (Best of 2000, Backstage; Best of 2000, Paper magazine). Eric also directed the sold-out 2003 FringeNYC production of Anthony Gelsomino’s controversial MADONNA in THE TITLE. His latest collaboration with writer/performer Amy Rhodes, GROWING UP AMY, is currently appearing at the Upright Citizens’ Brigade Theatre, and his most recent play, MAKE-UP WORK, was featured as part of the New Playwrights’ Series at Hoboken’s Center for the Performing Arts. Eric’s essays and short fiction also appear in 2004 and 2005 anthologies from Alyson Press and Conari Press.
Sean Williams (Music) was trained in music by his parents, composer Linda Williams and conductor Richard Williams, since he was a small boy. He has worked as a studio musician since the age of fifteen, first as a singer and then as a producer/director for large publishing companies like Silver Burdett, MacMillan and Mcgraw-Hill, and for smaller boutique music educators like MIDI 4 Kids and IDEAs Inc. While studying music at The University of Iowa and drama at University of North Carolina, he wrote music for small rock groups and along side other singer songwriters. In addition to publishing several songs, he has written music for AS YOU LIKE IT and the title song for Gideon Productions’ last show THE LUCRETIA JONES MYSTERIES.
Mac Rogers (Book) is a playwright based in Astoria. His short musical FIFTY MILLION DOLLARS was selected for inclusion with DREAMS THIS WAY: THE BEST OF RAW IMPRESSIONS at the 2004 New York Music Theatre Festival. Gideon has produced three of Mac’s plays: DIRTY JUANITA, THE SECOND STRING, and THE LUCRETIA JONES MYSTERIES. Other Manhattan productions include: THE SKY OVER NINEVEH (at the HERE Arts Center), HAPPENING TO YOUR BODY and MOLLY MOLLY (at manhattantheatresource), and three different productions of his one-act ROLL. THE SECOND STRING has been published by Playscripts.com and one scene of it was included in the Smith & Krauss anthology BEST STAGE SCENES OF 2004.
Jordana Williams (Lyrics) has written many lyrics for her own amusement. Playwriting credits include KILLER INSTINCT (The Estrogenius Festival) and WRESTLING FOR JOE (Spontaneous Combustion). Performance credits include C in THREE TALL WOMEN, Beth in A LIE OF THE MIND and Lucretia Jones in THE LUCRETIA JONES MYSTERIES. She has worked with Circle Rep, Cincinnati Playhouse, Berkshire Theater Festival, Playmakers Rep and others. She is writing a romance novel set during the Napoleonic Wars, which she will never, ever finish.
Gideon Productions (Producer) was formed on the belief that intelligent, challenging theater can and must also be entertaining. Past productions include DIRTY JUANITA, THE SECOND STRING, THE ELECTRIC CAT (a Children’s Musical) and several incarnations of THE LUCRETIA JONES MYSTERIES. Our proudest achievement was INDIVISIBLE, a four-week festival, involving eleven companies, presented in October of 2001 to raise money for the Salvation Army’s 9/11 Fund.
Lindsay Bowen (Producer) is one of the producers of The 24 Hour Plays and a founder of The 24 Hour Company. Production credits: THE 24 HOUR PLAYS ON B’WAY at the American Airlines Theater w/ plays by Warren Leight, Jeff Whitty and the Broadway debuts of David-Lindsay Abaire, Julia Jordan, Christopher Shinn, and Diana Son (The 24 Hour Co.), SAKHARAM BINDER, TRUST, SMASHING (as Managing Director of The Play Company), THE 24 HOUR PLAYS at the Present Comp. Theatorium, Atlantic, INTAR, and Vineyard, among others, in NYC and The Old Vic in London (24 Hour Co.) and THE SITUATION ROOM (with the Brooklyn Drama Club). He studied drama and writing at UNC and arts admin at NYU and is on the awards committee for the Haber Award for Distinguished North Carolinian in the Arts.
